IntelGeist API terms of use
These terms apply to every request to api.intelgeist.ai. Payment for a request constitutes acceptance of these terms. The version that applied to a paid request is recorded with that request.
1. What the service is
IntelGeist provides machine-readable company profiles compiled automatically from third-party public records, sold per request over the x402 payment protocol. The service covers companies and other organisations only. It does not provide information about individuals.
2. Informational only; no warranty
Informational only. Compiled automatically from third-party public records as of the dates shown. Those records may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, and the sources can change after we retrieve them. Provided AS IS, without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. Not legal, compliance, credit, tax or investment advice. Not a consumer report under the FCRA; do not use it to decide eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing. Verify important facts with the original source before relying on them. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for this response.
Every response states the source and as-of date of each fact, lists the sources checked, and marks sources with no record as a coverage gap. A missing record is never a statement that a company is clean.
3. Sanctions results
Sanctions results are automated name and identifier comparisons against the list versions shown. A possible match is not a legal determination and needs human review; no match does not guarantee a party is not sanctioned.
Risk ratings (LOW, MODERATE, HIGH) are produced by published, rule-based factors. They are indicators for further review, not findings, and never a statement that a company is compliant, safe or sanctioned unless a list entry is matched directly, in which case the matched entry is shown.
4. Payment, pricing and refunds
Each request is priced as stated in the HTTP 402 payment requirement and the published API description (currently USD 0.25 per successful profile, paid in USDC on Base). Data is released only after the payment settles.
Requests that fail (for example not found, invalid input, rate limited or a server error) are not charged. There are no refunds except where a payment settled but the response was not delivered because of a failure on our side; contact us with the request_id returned by the API and we will investigate against the on-chain record.
Blockchain payments are irreversible. You are responsible for sending the correct amount from a wallet you control and for any network fees.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for using the service lawfully, including sanctions, export-control, privacy, consumer-protection and anti-discrimination laws that apply to you.
You must not use the service, alone or combined with other data, to make automated decisions about individuals, to profile individuals, or as a factor in decisions about credit, insurance, employment, housing or other eligibility for a person.
You must not attempt to bypass payment, overload the service, probe non-public endpoints, or resell the service in a way that removes the source attributions or this notice.
6. Sources and attribution
Responses include licence and attribution information for each source. Current sources include: GLEIF Golden Copy (CC0 1.0); U.S. SEC EDGAR public data; U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN and Consolidated Sanctions Lists (public domain); UK Sanctions List (contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0); EU Financial Sanctions Files (source: European Commission); Colorado Secretary of State, Connecticut Secretary of the State and New York Department of State open data; Wikidata (CC0).
Source data is normalised, linked and screened automatically by IntelGeist and is not endorsed by any publisher. When you republish a response you must keep the source attributions.
7. Availability and changes
The service may change, be rate limited, or be suspended at any time, including to protect the service or to respond to changes in source data or law. These terms may be updated; each version is dated, and the version in force when a request is paid applies to that request.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, IntelGeist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and total liability for any request is limited to the amount paid for that request.
